Topic: Headline News Poverty Simulation Opens Reporter's Eyes

“The opposite of poverty is not wealth. The opposite of poverty is enough.”
I recently read this quote, used by the international aid group Compassion Inter-national, in my church newsletter. It was a new concept for me and has stayed in the back of mind. I have always had “enough” but I’ve always thought I “needed” more. On Monday evening, I had my eyes open to the reality of not having “enough” when I participated in the Green Hills Community Action Agency’s Poverty Simulation, held at the Ketcham Community Center.
