TBA Photos


The Republican-Times will be taking photos for its TBA special section on Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20 at C.F. Russell Stadium. Photos will be taken each evening, beginning at 5 o’clock. Teams are asked to be present on one of those two days in order to have their photos included in the special section. May 20 will be the last day photos will be taken. Teams that cannot come on either day are asked to call the Republican-Times office, 359-2212, to schedule a photo prior to that time.

R-9 Board OKs Contract For Energy Savings Project
The Trenton R-9 Board of Education approved a contract with CTS for energy conservation work in buildings within the district which officials estimate will save approximately $29,000-plus yearly in energy costs and repairs.

Monthly Meetings Held At Three Area Schools
Personnel items, end of year activities and health insurance were discussed when the boards of education of the Pleasant View R-6, Tri-County R-7 and Chula school districts met Tuesday evening.

Bonnie Belle Foster Monroy, 82, died at 1:44 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

Robert "Rob" Murphy
Robert “Rob” Murphy, a 58-year-old resident of 448 SW 25th St. at Trenton, died at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at his home, where he had been under hospice care.
