TDIA Hears About Brownsfield Program
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has a program to help counties, cities and eligible property owners ascertain the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant or contaminant, and remediate the hazard so the property can be safely and fully used.

Members of the Trenton Rotary Club toured the Smithsonian exhibit, “New Harmonies,” at the Grundy County Museum during its meeting on Thursday. L.D. Gibson was the program chairman.

Dorothy E. Boon Holmes, a 90-year-old Brookfield resident, died on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.

Lady Bulldogs Blank Savannah 9-0
The Trenton Lady Bulldog tennis team’s hot start continued Thursday night as they made a statement with a 9-0 victory over Savannah. The Lady Bulldogs did not drop a single match in the dual as they improved to 3-0 on the season.

Trenton Golfers Finish Second In First Tourney
The Trenton Lady Bulldog golf team got their first taste of tournament action Thursday as they traveled to Lancaster for the Schuyler County Golf Tournament. Trenton’s young squad posted a respectable score of 400, placing them second in the seven-team field. Kirksville took the top spot with a team score of 374 and Brookfield’s mark of 403 was third best.

Tri-County Teams Fall In Eagleville
The Tri-County softball squads traveled to Eagleville Thursday night for an HDC Conference doubleheader with North Harrison. Both the Tri-County girls and boys ended up on the losing end as North Harrison swept the night.
